Grady Sizemore smacked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the seemingly unstoppable
California Gangsta Luv defeated the pathetic Burbank Tigers 9 to 8 at the
ballpark.
Sizemore punished Burbank with his bat. He cracked a solo homerun in the 2nd
inning, laced a one-base hit which was good for two runs in the 3rd inning
and cracked a two-run shot (his 23rd of the season) in the 7th inning.
Burbank threatened in the 9th but California was able to put down the rally.
The victory went to Scott Proctor(2-2) who went 2 innings, allowing 2 runs.
Scott Downs recorded his 1st save. Noah Lowry(3-10) was the losing pitcher.
He served up 3 gopher balls in 6 and 1/3 innings.
California continued their winning ways, with their streak now at 8 games and
counting. 'Everything seems to be going right for us' said Greg Edens. 'I've
got the easiest job in the league right now!'
